Etisbew followed a staged approach to overcome Net Enforcers challenges
Stage 1 – Designing the Basic System
As part of the Stage1, Etisbew performed a thorough Requirement Analysis of Net Enforcers business and got a full knowledge transfer on what is the business model, how does the process flow from start to end, what are the activities performed by people as part of the business, what are the standard documents maintained by the company for their clients, what is the future business model of the company and so on.
The Business Analysts prepared a thorough User Requirement Specifications (URS) based on the requirements gathered from Net Enforcers and further re-discussed with Net Enforcers to evaluate the correctness of the URS document.
Based on the URS, ETG designed and developed a online system for managing client information, product information, product attributes and other relevant data for automating the entire business process of Net Enforcers.
Stage2 - Adding Power to the system
The solution designed and developed as part of Stage1 was covering the basic needs of Net Enforcers for managing their clients and their business. The system was having necessary interfaces to capture data but it was not powerful enough to speed up the data capture process. Most of the data capturing was manual and that was entered into the system for later use. ETG envisaged the need of adding power to the system by developing a spidering / crawling application which will take some inputs on the products being investigated and intelligently crawl over specific target sites to view and capture any unauthorized usage / promotion of brands and then automatically store such information against the client/product in the system. This will ensure that very less manual interaction is used to dig necessary info.
Apart from building a spidering application, ETG also clubbed the spider with a automatic image comparison system to automatically determine unauthorized usage of specific product images on websites. This further added more power to the system to deliver more tasks for the clients.
Stage3 – Fine Tuning and Efficient Management of the System
By end of Stage2, Net Enforcers had a system that is stable clubbed with automation. But the biggest challenge in front of ETG then was to suggest more efficient way to host and manage the system. ETG worked out and suggested a migration from Single Product / Single Client / Single Database systems (one for each product / client) to a Multi Client / Multi Product / Single Database solution which reduces the overall cost as well as maintenance. Added to this, ETG suggested the client to host the system from a Windows environment to a Linux environment and further to Blue Dragon environment (off shoot of Cold Fusion) thereby helping Net Enforcers to save decent money.
Stage4 – Distributed Data Management
Currently ETG is working to propose a Distribution Data Management system for eliminating Data Redundancy.
So overall, ETG played a key role with Net Enforcers to be part of the following activities
Requirement Analysis
Design and Development of the System
Improvements and Add On
Efficient Hosting
Database Optimization
Migration and Upgrades
